8 small mozzarella balls
Corn grissini (breadsticks)

Culatello di Zibello PDO with melon may be a classic option for light summer lunches and breezy appetizers, but here is another fruit you must try it with: the nectarine.

The sweet, fresh taste of nectarine marries perfectly with the flavors of Culatello di Zibello PDO. So this summer, whether it be snack time, an aperitif amongst friends, or just that moment to treat yourself, change things around a little with this light, quick and easy recipe.

Creating this starter of nectarines and cured ham is super easy, the idea is to make bite size canapes with the addition of small balls of mozzarella.

The Recipe:

Wash the nectarines in water with bicarbonate. You may also peel the skin to make sure that it doesn’t distract from the dish. Cut each nectarine into 4 slices and lay them on a serving dish. Divide the slices of Culatello di Zibello PDO into 8 portions, and use toothpicks to add them in the following order – a mozzarella ball followed by a piece of ham, finished with a slice of nectarine on the end. Arrange the amuse-bouches on a serving dish, alongside some corn grissini.

Serve and enjoy!
